Love is a very powerful emotion. God is love, and he is a very powerful God. Yet, this all powerful, all knowing God has the ability to show each of us the warmth and tenderness of his love. This is his heart. Can you imagine all the people on the face of the earth? God loves us and is in control of each of our lives. He rains on the just as well as the unjust. What is the reason for his communication with man at all? It is to show his love and to develop a loving relationship with him. You can not love someone you do not know, that is why it is very important for us to read our Bible. If we have been redeemed, we must witness to the lost, in doing so we show forth the love of God.
Can a lost person find themselves? I think not, if they could, then Jesus would not have to come to save that which was lost. As ambassadors of Christ, we must show the lost the love of God. We must shed the light of God's love that shines in our hearts so that others may see the light and find their way home. The more you learn of God the more you love him and the more you want to show that love to others. God loves you in a way that no one can or will.
There are several passages in the Bible that attempt to express the love God has for you and I. In Eph. 3:19, it says that the love of Christ passeth knowledge, meaning that we can not understand in totality the love God has for us. It is wonderfully unbelievable. In Jeremiah 31:3 it says, "Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with loving kindness have I drawn thee. Yes, an everlasting love, one that lasts forever, won't change, won't go away. God is the only one that can say that to us, because he is the only one that will be around forever. We may have loved ones that love us, but they cannot promise us that they will be around to show us that love forever as God can. In I John 3:1 it says, "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not." If we have been redeemed, then we are being transformed into the image of our Father. The love that God has for us, we show to each other, and to the lost that they may see Christ in our lives and seek to know the Father. In Rev. 1:5,6 it says, "Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion forever. Amen." Yes, we are kings and priests unto God, that means that we work the will of the Father, we who are redeemed have the mind of Christ, and a burden for the lost. Someone who is lost in their sins, or does not know God cannot save or find themselves. They are waiting on you and I, the priests and ambassadors of Christ to share the love God has for us. Love is a very powerful emotion, and it will compell you to do something. In John 3:16 it says, "God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." God's relationship with man, has always been a display or reassurance of his love for us. God loves the sinner, but he does not love the act of sin. That is why we must be born again, to take on the image of our Father. Our true DNA is righteousness, and love.
God expects us to show brotherly love to one another. In his word he said that the world will know that we are his by the love we show one another as christians. In 1 Cor.13:8, it says that charity (love) never fails. It goes on to explain that I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but if I have not charity (love) I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. Though I have the gift of prophecy, and understaand all mysteries, and all knowledge, and have great faith so as to move mountains and have not charity (love) I am nothing. I may bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and thought I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed ,doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in truth; beareth all things believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. This is the character of the redeemed. This is who we have become or are becoming if it be that Christ is lord of our lives. God will perfect that which concerneth thee. We are changed by the spirit of God. We cannot change ourselves.
When someone loves you as much as God, and has shown and proven his love, you want to love him back. How we do this is by loving each other, and sharing the Word of God with others. The harvest is great, means that there are a vast amount of people that need to hear the Word and to accept Christ into their hearts. How can they hear if we don't tell them. The lost are being held captive by Satan, the ruler and deceiver of this world. They are lost in their sins and in need of the Saviour. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. God's life changing Word does the work in the hearts of the people, we are just willing vessels who believe and share that Word. It is our duty...it is our life...to share the Word with the lost. In doing so we bring joy to the Father, our Father in heaven. There is someone waiting to hear of the love of the Father from you. They are lost and in need of the Savior, and you have what they need. God said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me." Let us lift up the name of our loving Father that he may call home our brothers and sisters. THIS IS OUR DUTY....THIS IS OUR LIFE.
May God bless you and keep you with All his love...From Your Fellow Worker in the Kingdom.
